What it is
NVMe SSD Storage
NVMe is the flash storage under the hosting account. Site files, images, uploads, and databases live on those disks, not on spinning hard drives.
NVMe talks to the server over PCI Express. Older SATA disks share a slower bus, so the same file or database page takes longer to fetch. That bus is the difference you feel when PHP, WordPress, or MySQL hits disk.

Why it matters
A page waits on disk whenever PHP loads files, the CMS reads uploads, or the database touches tables that are not already in RAM. Faster disks cut that wait, so HTML and admin screens open sooner.
