What it is

MySQL databases

MySQL databases is the number of databases the hosting account can create. Each extra database is a separate schema for an app, a staging copy, or a second site.

This add-on raises that count. It does not add disk by itself. The live catalog sets the price you pay at checkout.

Why it matters

WordPress, Laravel, and most CMS stacks need at least one database. A second site, a staging copy, or a separate app needs another.

When the plan is out of database slots, you cannot create another schema in the control panel. Extra MySQL databases is for that limit.

Where you use it

Choose MySQL databases on the order form when you create the account, or add them later from the client area if the catalog still offers it.

After checkout, create the extra database in the control panel. Shared plans on this page list the base database count that this add-on extends.
